If you know the basics of decorating but are ready to learn a little more. We will briefly review colors, furniture placement and lighting but then move into balance, texture, mixing patterns, and adding personality. This class will use many Arts & Crafts style examples but these decorating techniques cross over all styles. Part of the Roycroft Arts & Crafts Conference. Price:  $35.00

1:00-3:30pm: – Color Theory for the Home

This workshop will look at the power of color, it's biological, physiological, aesthetic and therapeutic effects, and looks at how to use color to create a "better" environment to live in. Price:  $35.00

11am-4pm: East Aurora Bungalow Tour

$25 per person

Learn about Roycroft Bungalows and buildings through both interior tours and exterior visits to significant bungalow style houses around East Aurora. Enjoy an afternoon of inspriing Gospel, Folk and Soul Music featuring David Michael Miller of Dive House Union, Samuel Tambe and Porcelain Train, Americana duo. Soul Food prepared by The Roycroft Inn will also be available. At the Knox Mansion at Knox State Park.

The museum contains beautifully bound and illuminated books, furniture, copper work, and other Roycroft memorabilia on permanent display as well as oil paintings by Alex Fournier and leather work by George ScheideMantel. Open 1-4 pm for tours admission of $10 per person.


The Millard Fillmore House Museum

24 Shearer Ave.

Millard Fillmore, the 13th president of the United States, resided in East Aurora from 1826 until 1830. Tour his home including the living room, kitchen, bedrooms, playroom, Victorian library and the carriage barn. You can also stroll through the beautiful period gardens that surround the house. Open 1-4 pm for tours admission of $10 per person.


Baker Memorial United Methodist Church

Tour the only house of worship in WNY whose 17 windows are all Tiffany stained glass.  These windows with their exceptional quality and artistry are considered to be of the finest in the United States. Guided tours on Saturday, October 19 and Sunday, October 20 at 1:00pm.
