Conference Lectures:

A wide variety of lectures are scheduled for this year's conference to cover the past, present and future of The Roycroft Campus and the Arts and Crafts Movement as a whole. We will look back at Dard Hunter, one of the most important original Roycroft Artisans, how Hubbard tried to create a self-sustainable environment, as well as the final days of Elbert and Alice aboard the Lusitania. We will learn the process of one current Roycroft Renaissance Artisan, and how restoration efforts saved the Fournier murals in the Roycroft Inn. We will explore the "spiritual" qualities of the Campus and the comforts of an Arts & Crafts Bungalow, and learn what is planned for the future of the Roycroft Campus from key members of the development team. Conference Events:

The Roycroft Arts & Crafts conference is being held in correlation with East Aurora's "Well-Crafted Weekend," with activities planned throughout the village. The theme of "Well-Crafted" is a key aspect of the Roycrofters artwork, as well as their philosophy on how to live a quality life. A highlight of the conference will be demonstrations from current Roycroft Rennaisance Artisans in a variety of media. We will also partake in wines, food, film, books, art and a tour of homes and enjoy all aspects of a "Well-Crafted" life.
