(with Naturalist, Mary Jo Graham)
Saturday, February 24 from 1:00pm - 3:00pm

Many bird species must leave their breeding territories when cold descends on the region. You'll learn what drives these epic trips and be surprised by some of the behaviors displayed only in the wintering grounds of these familiar summer birds.

Mary Jo Graham is founder and director of Oakmoss Education, which works to bring people and nature into harmony through workshops, lectures and field outings. Additionally, she works as a Naturalist for a number of well-respected environmental education organizations, developing programs and teaching at schools and to the general public. Ms. Graham is also an Assistant Professor in the Physics Department at Erie Community College teaching Environmental Science and Field Ecology. Mary Jo graduated Summa Cum-laude from the University at Buffalo with a degree in Environmental Studies focusing on Environmental Education and Native American culture.  She currently is completing her Master's project at SUNY Buffalo State.
