1-Day Workshop on Saturday, April 23rd from 10:00am – 4:00pm

The Roycroft Campus – 21 South Grove St. East Aurora, NY

Roycroft Campus Artist-in-Residence, Yvonne Stoklosa, will be teaching a one-day workshop on the basic skills needed to make an 8 1/2” stained glass Buffalo Bills suncatcher.  An introduction and resources will be discussed.  Students will learn stained glass using the Tiffany method of construction, including how to select and cut glass, use a grinder to shape pieces, foil, and solder pieces together.  Each student can hang their creation in a window to enjoy for many years.

All materials and tools needed are provided, including a selection of colorful art glass. Previous experience is helpful, but not necessary. Please bring a brown bag lunch and any coffee/water you may need.

Yvonne Stoklosa’s love of the Arts & Crafts Movement grew strongest when studying for her Masters in Architecture. She also has schooling and experience working as an Interior Designer / Facilities Planner. Combining her creative design skills with her desire to be home for her family, she began doing stained glass work 27 years ago.  As a Roycroft Campus artist, she is often reminded of what an architect taught her many years ago – to strive for museum quality.

Yvonne currently has a studio in the Roycroft Print Building where she designs and creates custom work for her clients. She is Chair of the Arts & Craftsmen Guild at Roycroft and actively participates in many of the local and out of state art shows.  In addition, The Copper Shop Gallery houses a wonderful selection of her work.

Class Tuition: $85 + $45 Supplies = Total $130
Registration is required and seating is limited. (Max. of 8 students)

This workshop is open to those ages 18- adult

Class will take place at the NEW Castiglia Art Center in the Print Shop on The Roycroft Campus – 21 South Grove St. East Aurora, NY 14052
