Watercolor Techniques: ‘Skies’

When it comes to watercolor painting, there are many different techniques that can help you create the effects that you are trying to achieve in your paintings. Join us as we learn, and practice, different watercolor techniques. This session we will be learning, and practicing, how to create different watercolor effects for skies.

Students should bring good watercolor paper or a watercolor sketchbook (100% cotton paper is ideal but bring what you have). All other tools and supplies will be provided. You are welcome, and encouraged, to bring your watercolor paints if you have them. Please feel free to bring a beverage and/or something to snack on.

Janet Nye Vedder has experience as a graphic artist, product illustrator, and art educator.  With a Masters in Education and twenty-two years of experience teaching art, she looks forward to teaching a variety of art classes on the Roycroft Campus.

As a Roycroft Artist-in-Residence, Janet currently has a studio in the Roycroft Print Shop where she creates her artwork.  Janet works primarily in watercolor and Chinese brush painting; however, she has a strong background in fiber arts and collage.

Class Tuition: $35 + $5 Supplies = Total $40
Registration is required and seating is limited. (Max. of 12 students)

This workshop is open to those ages 16 – adult

Class will take place at the NEW Castiglia Art Center in the Print Shop on The Roycroft Campus – 21 South Grove St. East Aurora, NY 14052
