2-Day Workshop on Wednesdays, September 20th & 27th from 10:00am – 1:00pm

The Roycroft Campus – 21 South Grove St. East Aurora, NY

This course is perfect for those who want to learn the beauty of working with watercolors on pen and ink drawings.  Each week we will work on a different project. Students will work on a pen and ink drawing where they will learn how to enhance the drawing with techniques of line work and pointillism.   Then watercolor paints will be added to the pen and ink drawing.

In the first class, students will be working on a Coneflower design in pen & ink. (The design will be provided for you on watercolor paper for each class). Next, an overlay of watercolor glazes will be applied to bring the drawing to life. The second class will be a landscape drawing, first in pen & ink and then adding a layer of watercolor. We will be working on 140 lb. watercolor paper – 8 x 10 in size.

All supplies will be provided; 3 professional watercolor paints, watercolor brushes, water containers, paper towels, archival ink pens and 140lb watercolor paper. Tools will remain the property of the instructor. Please feel free to bring a bagged lunch or something to snack on.

Paulette Krakowski has over 40 years of experience as a graphic artist, art director, instructor, and gallery owner.  In 2022 she became a Juried Artist of the Arts & Craftsmen Guild of the Roycroft Campus in watercolor and colored pencil.

Class Tuition $75 + $20 Supplies = Total $95
Registration is required and seating is limited. (Max. of 8 students) This workshop is open to those ages 16 – adult
