Buffalo native, Jessica Gadra is a pen and ink and watercolor artist who is inspired by story and mythology. Gadra takes her cues from the methods of the Golden Age Illustrators but also adds her own detail and whimsy to her creations. Gadra aims to breathe new life into old tales while working within traditional forms. Her works have been featured in children’s books, theatre posters and advertisements. When she has the weekend off from managing her booth at local festivals and art shows, Gadra can be found walking the beautiful Buffalo neighborhoods, often examining the roots of a tree with her pencil in hand.
