Description
Seven years ago, Leslie Green Guilbault left a successful career as a senior administrator in academia and pharmaceutical manufacturing to become a self-taught ceramicist and bone carver.
Guilbault states, ‘Giving myself permission to be creative in a number of styles has resulted in a body of work that accurately reflects different facets of my personality, current interests, and my desire to keep improving and discovering new areas of work that make my spirit soar.’
The body of work featured in this exhibit is from the ‘Metallic Collection’ – wheel thrown porcelain that is freehand carved and finished in glazes that mimic the look of pewter, copper, hematite, and gun metal and is currently the only line of her pottery creations that she adorns with the Roycroft logo.
Guilbault was welcomed to the Roycrofters-At-Large Association in 2016 and is currently a Roycroft Artisan in Clay.
See the exhibition in person! Visit the Copper Shop Gallery Tuesday – Saturday, 11am – 5pm from March 27 – July 3, 2021.
