Eta Rottenberg graduated with a B.A. in Design from University at Buffalo. She also studied painting and graphic design at the School of Visual Arts, and the Arts Students League in NYC. For ten years she worked as an artist and graphic designer in New York City. Inspired by the people, the city, and the arts community she decided to return to Buffalo, NY. Upon entering a new experimental phase in her artwork by creating images of nature using new techniques in watercolor and gouache. She applied the watercolor images within the shape of a Buffalo tree and developed four variations of the tree to reflect the four seasons throughout the year. Eta has gone on to create other designs inspired by events in Buffalo, Buffalo architectural icons, and pattern designs around Buffalo as a theme.
