Bill Kuczmanski is a long-time East Aurorian whose influence by Elbert Hubbard and the Roycrofters’ Mission style pushed him to work with glass. Kuczmanski served as an electrician during the Roycroft Inn’s restoration, and was particularly inspired by the original Roycrofters handcrafted lamps, which are still featured in the Roycroft Inn today. Once the Roycroft Inn’s restoration was complete, Kuczmanski began educating himself on the Arts & Crafts Movement and, upon retiring, devoted his time to the craft.

Currently residing in Suffolk, Virginia, Kuczmanski continues to create Mission style glass lamps and other glass home décor and exhibits his works at various shows and galleries. He is a familiar face on the Roycroft Campus and has also exhibited at the National Arts & Crafts Conference in Asheville, North Carolina and is also represented at the Gamble House in Pasadena, California.
