Stacy Smith is a Western New York Artist who is also a Juried Artist of the Arts & Craftsmen Guild. It has been a childhood dream of hers to be an Artist, as she recalls being fascinated with rocks at a very young age. She is inspired by nature, her love of antiques, heirlooms, steampunk and Victorian elements.
Her road to becoming a wire Artist was unplanned and accidental, and started as a hobby. Smith says she is constantly learning new techniques, and is proud of the patience she has had throughout the process. She currently spends about 30-50 hours per week wire wrapping! Because it’s an ever-changing medium, there is always a new technique, new combination, or a fresh interpretation of an old idea.
