After several years of using fabric for artistic expression, Karen Hull Sienk began her journey with traditional quilting in 1979.
In 2012 Sienk was juried as a Roycroft Artisan, and was juried a Roycroft Master Artisan in 2019. She has lead lectures and classes for over 20 years and has also had her works featured or published in a variety of quilting books and magazines, including: Rodale, American Quilter’s Society and Quilting Arts.
Sienk utilizes cotton fabrics but also incorporates her own hand painted fabrics, she also enjoys working on a variety of designs including landscapes and abstract works.
After recently experimenting with needle felting, Sienk began creating 3-dimensional animals. All of her creations, realistic and whimsical, have been an extremely popular item in The Copper Shop Gallery!
